When it came time to expand into Montréal, Beyond Capture faced a critical decision: which motion capture system could reliably serve their demanding production needs at scale.
One of Beyond Capture Montréal’s biggest advantages is the sheer size of their capture volume. The facility spans 4,000 square meters (over 40,000 square feet), giving filmmakers and game developers room to capture complex scenes and large-scale action sequences.

After this testing process, Qualisys emerged as the clear winner. “Qualisys was the only one that not only met what we needed, but exceeded it,” confirmed Qually. The company ultimately invested in 145 Arqus cameras from Qualisys, creating one of the largest motion capture stages worldwide. A secondary stage is surrounded by 24 Miqus M3 cameras, which supports smaller scale productions.
