Qualisys has delivered a complete Gait Analysis System to the new Podiatry & Gait Laboratory at the University of Salford. The system is used mainly for clinical analysis alongside with research and PhD projects.
The entire motion capture system at the University of Salford is made up of Oqus cameras – Qualisys third generation of high quality motion capture systems. The cameras have an integrated, full frame, high speed video capability capturing at more than 500 fps. Moreover, the first camera communicates wirelessly to a laptop (WLAN) making the system uniquely mobile – a great advantage in a Gait Analysis environment.
The system is delivered together with our in-house developed software, Qualisys Track Manager (QTM). The latest release of this software includes many new features such as Real Time AIM (Automatic Identification of Markers), TCP/IP output in real time of identified 3D markers, improved tracking and calibration routines, improved processing pipeline, as well as improved batch processing support. QTM is used in conjunction with ‘Visual 3D’ gait analysis software.
