Motion Capture Essentials
From Wednesday 7th May to Thursday 8th May 2025, Leeds Beckett University will host our first Postgraduate Researcher Two-Day Workshop. This event offers hands-on experience with 3D motion capture, from setting up systems and collecting data in different scenarios to managing, analyzing, and automating processes for high-quality results.
Expert talks from life sciences academics will cover key considerations for motion capture data quality and share tips for successful project completion and publication. Attendees will also have opportunities to network, collaborate, and socialize at our evening event.
This workshop is ideal for postgraduate researchers in the early stages of study (years 1-2), research-active lab technicians, or graduate teaching associates looking to upskill. Activities include face-to-face training, supervised workshops, and demonstrations of various camera systems, focusing on human movement. It’s also a great chance to build connections in the community.
The event starts mid-morning at 10:00 to allow for same-day travel and will end by 16:00 on the second day.
*This free event includes catering and is capped at 24 attendees.*
