How Sanjeevini Life Care Village Brought Data-Driven Precision to Rehabilitation

At Sanjeevini Life Care Village, rehabilitation is built around understanding the individual and developing a personalized pathway toward improved functional capacity and well-being.

However, many movement impairments can be subtle and difficult to identify through visual observation alone. Changes in gait, posture, balance, joint movement, symmetry and muscle coordination may significantly influence a patient’s rehabilitation journey. Sanjeevini needed a way to objectively assess movement, establish a baseline and measure changes over time – helping its multidisciplinary team make rehabilitation planning more precise and evidence-informed.

An Objective Assessment Hub, Built In-House

Sanjeevini introduced an advanced Qualisys 3D Gait Laboratory as an objective assessment hub within its multidisciplinary rehabilitation model. Equipment’s used in lab:

  • Qualisys Hybrid Camera – 8 no.
  • Qualisys Video Camera – 2 no.
  • AMTI force plate – 2 no.
  • Noraxon EMG- 16 ch.
  • Lode Treadmill

The Qualisys system captures and analyses human movement in three dimensions, force plate Kinetic force data & EMG Muscle activity enabling the clinical team to evaluate parameters including walking speed, stride and step length, gait symmetry, joint angles, trunk movement, turning performance, ground reaction force, muscles activity and balance strategies.

The assessment can support personalized rehabilitation planning for patients with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, orthopaedic conditions, sports injuries and age-related mobility challenges.

The resulting data can then complement Sanjeevini’s broader rehabilitation approach, including physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, isokinetic rehabilitation and other individualized interventions.

Qualisys’s close partnership with Noraxon and AMTI means EMG muscle activity and force plate data are captured and synchronized natively within the same platform as the 3D motion data, giving Sanjeevini’s team one unified, complete picture of movement, force and muscle function.

Turning Data Into Progress

With objective movement data, Sanjeevini can move beyond simply observing whether a patient appears to be improving.

By conducting assessments before and after rehabilitation, the team can quantify changes in movement and functional mobility, identify areas requiring further attention and refine the treatment pathway accordingly.

For patients, this creates a more personalized and measurable rehabilitation journey – where treatment decisions are supported by objective biomechanical information and progress can be tracked over time.

“At Sanjeevini Life Care Village, we believe that truly effective rehabilitation begins with a precise understanding of how each individual moves. The Qualisys 3D Gait Lab transforms complex movement data into objective, actionable insights—revealing functional limitations, guiding personalised interventions and measuring progress with exceptional accuracy. This empowers our multidisciplinary team to make confident, evidence-informed decisions at every stage of the rehabilitation journey.”
