Qualisys has developed plug-ins for Matlab, Simulink and Labview, that makes it possible to stream motion capture data from QTM in real-time to these programs over UDP/IP.
Together with the Oqus cameras the system has an architecture adapted for low latency. The frame rate independent latency of the QTM processing pipeline provides an exceptionally low latency of down to 4ms to a third party software. The Matlab interface can be used by anyone with a Matlab license and is an easy way of retrieving and processing the data in real-time. All data types in QTM are available, which include 2D, 3D, 6DOF, analog and force data.
The core of the interfaces consists of compiled software to achieve the lowest possible latency. The Matlab and Matlab/Simulink interfaces consist of .mex-files, both for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. The LabView interface consists of a DLL and .vi-files for all available data types. A simple example of how the interface can be used is also included in the packages.
