Visual3D is tightly integrated with the automation framework in QTM. It provides an extensive biomechanical toolbox and is used in almost all of our analysis modules.
Easily identify markers regardless of marker set. Just define your model, feed it with sample motion data and you are ready to go.
The Baseball analysis module offers the option to use markerless capture – all within a single, streamlined workflow, no matter if you are testing with or without markers.
Learn morePitching is a complex movement that involves rotations in several planes, making it hard to impossible to accurately assess a pitcher’s movement with 2D systems such as video cameras.
In addition to the complexity of the movement, elite pitchers may reach hand and ball speeds well above 80 mph and shoulder internal rotation velocities above 5000 degrees/second, demanding fast capture rates and short exposure times.
Motion capture combines the views of multiple cameras to track the three-dimensional movement of markers that are placed on the athlete’s body or equipment. Qualisys cameras operate at up to 1100 Hz at full field of view so you can be sure that you don’t miss any subtle details of the athletes’ movement.

We will help you to find the solutions for your specific application. Define your own analysis workflow or opt for the Baseball Module, a proven and streamlined solution for biomechanical pitching and/or hitting analysis.
If you choose the Baseball module, it includes everything that you need to perform biomechanical pitching analysis, whether it is for research, education or as a business for paying clients.
We teamed up with partners such as B Young Physical Therapy to generate the output variables that pitchers and their coaches are looking for while maintaining scientific rigor in all calculations.
Now available for markerless tracking!
Calibrate and capture in QTM using Miqus Video or Miqus Hybrid cameras, while the Theia Markerless software tracks and post-processes the data.
The Baseball module includes an interactive web report for increased accessibility and easy sharing. Reports can be viewed with all major web browsers and any device.
The report contains basic parameters, video and a 3D visualization of the movement as well as more in-depth results in charts and tables.
A demo report can be seen here.
Qualisys camera systems integrates seamlessly with many other systems, including force plates, EMG and eye-trackers, offering endless possibilities for your projects. Use our automatic labeling mechanism, AIM, to process the data that you need quickly and efficiently.
You can export via c3d, text or MATLAB files for further analysis.
Our solutions allow you to perform analyses on both the hitting and pitching movements. Furthermore, a pitching analysis can be performed with or without markers! When you combine a Miqus Hybrid system with any marker-based motion capture cameras from Qualisys, a true dual-purpose optical motion capture system is created.
