Clusters for biomechanical analysis

Cluster fixtures for the shank – with and without markers.

Qualisys offers a specially designed, thin but light-weight and rigid, plastic fixture with four reflective markers that can be placed on any segment of interest.

Tracking of such marker clusters is less susceptible to noise and thus helps to improve kinematical accuracy compared to traditional marker placement techniques. There are clusters available for both the lower and upper body.

The lower body set of clusters includes four pieces, one for each shank and thigh. The upper body set includes clusters for the forearms and upper arms. The forearm clusters can be placed immediately by the wrist, which allows capture of rotational relations between the forearm and upper arm segments.
