Short Range Active Markers
Easily identified
The short range active markers are very useful in certain measurement situations. They are sequence coded to enable marker identification without the need for model based identification. This can be very handy when movements of objects are irregular or lack inter-marker consistency.
In contrary to other active marker motion capture systems, the maximum frame rate is not dependent on the number of markers used. This means that more than 100 markers can be run at 500 fps with ease. Active markers are also the only choice when the measurement objects are highly reflective making passive marker measurement impossible.
Performance
The active marker system consists of a driver unit capable of driving up to 32 markers through four daisy-chained outputs. The markers are small and light-weight and can be attached to the skin with simple double adhesive tape.
The driver has an integrated battery which can either be charged in the drive unit or replaced with another battery and charged in a standalone charger. The battery is selected to last a day of normal measurements.
